Service Calls: Residential &Â Commercial
Did your plugs or lights stop working? Are your receptacles hot to the touch or emitting a burning smell? Then you need a service call!
Call me with a brief description of the problem, and we can book a time for me to come and diagnose and repair your electrical issues. I can fix the following during a service call:
Tripped breakers
Loss of power
Sparking
Burning smell
Defective devices
Lights flickering or not working
Switches not working
Missing or faulty smoke/CO2 alarms
Thermostat or furnace problems
While I am there for the service call, feel free to ask me about any other minor electrical problems you are having. I may be able to quickly fix other small issues during the call.
Safety Checks
Not sure if something is a problem? Maybe you are buying a new home and have concerns about the electrical? Feel free to call me, and if I can’t resolve the issue over the phone, I can come do a safety check and diagnose if something is an issue.
Things to look for:
Are your devices giving off excessive heat?
Is there any exposed wiring or uncovered junction boxes?
Are devices unsecured or damaged?
Is there any burning smell or sparking from devices?
Are any breakers tripped or routinely tripped? (called nuisance tripping)
Do all of your smoke and CO2 alarms work?
Are any receptacles near a water source not of the GFCI type? (this receptacle has a test button and a LED indicator light)
Are your circuits Arc-Fault protected? (became mandatory in new homes around 2016)
